What is Tongkat Ali Physta®?
Tongkat Ali Physta® is a standardized water extract of the root from Eurycoma longifolia, the plant commonly known as Tongkat Ali. Physta® is the name of a specific trademarked extract, not the plant species. The manufacturer uses Malaysian root material, a controlled water extraction, and analyzes each batch against established specifications. Each production run receives its own Certificate of Analysis, COA, which reports identity, specifications, and measured values.

Current batch and analytical values
The current Tongkat Ali Physta® batch is TA 2602022. The results below come from the batch’s analytical documentation. Botanical raw materials vary between production runs, so future batches may show different values, but analyzed parameters should fall within the product’s established specifications.
TA 2602022
Eurycomanone
Specification: 0.8–1.5%
Glycosaponins
Specification: minimum 40%
Polysaccharides
Specification: minimum 30%
Total protein fraction
Specification: minimum 22%
The analysis values apply to batch TA 2602022 and should not be automatically transferred to future production batches. Certificates for previous batches are available in our COA archive, along with full values for heavy metals and microbiology.
Packaging, quantity, and handling
Tongkat Ali Physta® is supplied in a Miron glass jar along with a resealable bag and a measuring scoop that holds 100 mg. One 6 g package corresponds to approximately 60 scoops.
Miron glass is a violet-colored glass that the manufacturer describes as light-filtering. According to Miron, the glass blocks the visible light spectrum, which is stated to be the part that degrades natural products, and allows infrared and ultraviolet light to pass through. This information comes from the glass manufacturer and should be understood as manufacturer information.
The choice of packaging is linked to the product’s documentation. A standardized extract has analyzed values that apply at a specific point in time, and light, moisture, and oxygen are the factors that affect botanical raw materials over time. The jar is resealable and can be reused.
Store the jar dry and at room temperature, closed between each use. Use a dry scoop, as moisture introduced into the packaging affects the entire contents. The certificate for the current batch states an expiration date of February 3, 2029.
Standardization levels on the market
Tongkat Ali is sold with widely varying documentation. The bars below compare the typical extent of standardization for different raw material types.
The bars are an illustrative comparison of reported standardization and documentation. They do not indicate measured potency or biological effect.

|---|---|---|---|
| Raw material form | Standardized extract | Ground and dried root | Extract with stated ratio |
| Origin | Malaysia | May vary | May vary |
| Processing | Controlled water extraction | Grinding of root material | Extraction method varies |
| Standardization | Several defined parameters | Often none specified | Varies between products |
| Eurycomanone | Manufacturer analyzes value against established specification | Often not reported | Supplier may report value |
| Other markers | Protein, polysaccharides, and glycosaponins | Often not reported | Varies between products |

Frequently asked questions about Tongkat Ali Physta
How much does the package contain?
The package contains 6 g of standardized extract. With the included 100 mg scoop, this corresponds to approximately 60 scoops.
How should the raw material be stored?
Dry and at room temperature, with the jar closed between each use. Use a dry scoop. The certificate for the current batch states an expiration date of February 3, 2029.
Is there a certificate of analysis for the current batch?
Yes. For batch TA 2602022, there is a batch-specific analysis certificate. This, and the certificates for previous batches, are available in our COA archive.
Why do values differ between batches?
Botanical raw materials vary between harvests and production runs. Standardization means that the values should be within established specifications, not that every batch is chemically identical.
Can other suppliers offer Physta® in Scandinavia?
Aromexperten is the exclusive distributor of Tongkat Ali Physta® in Scandinavia. Distribution arrangements may change over time.
How does Physta® differ from Tongkat Ali root powder?
Physta® is a standardized water extract with defined analytical parameters and a batch-specific COA. Root powder, on the other hand, consists of dried and ground root and often does not have corresponding standardization.
What is eurycomanone?
A chemical marker that laboratories use for analysis and standardization of Physta®. The analysis certificate shows the measured content for each batch.
Use and product classification

Grymt bra!

Trycket i krallæ synes baske ökat.
